Waiting for Caleb {Maternity Portraits}

When you have a toddler and another baby on the way, a maternity portrait session might be the last thing your mind. However, making time for it is something you won’t regret.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” – Aaron Siskind

Sometimes it seems as though life is moving at such a rapid pace. This is when we need to stop for a minute and savour the moment. We can’t stop time, but we do have a way to freeze it and preserve precious moments with photography.

I’m glad that Melany made time to record the memory, along with her husband Colin and their little girl, Hannah, of being excited to meet their second child, Caleb, and the anticipation of progressing from being a family of three to four.

We took just over an hour to move through this mini-maternity photo session, Fortunately, with play parks nearby, Colin was able to keep Hannah entertained while mom got some individual portraits done. Melany is not lovely to photograph because she has some modelling experience, she’s also a good friend and for me, it’s been an honour to witness to her family grow.
